The books

What age is this really for?

Read-together from about 5, reading alone from 7 or 8, and still interesting at 12 because the science is real. The pictures are what younger kids latch onto first; the explanations keep older kids reading.

How is this different from a children's encyclopedia?

An encyclopedia lists topics. 100,000 Whys is built from questions: each spread asks something a child would ask, then answers it in plain language with an illustration. Kids can open any page and read for two minutes or an hour.

Do I need all five volumes?

No. Each volume stands on its own: Animal World, The Marvelous Universe, Fun and Joyful Science, Planet Earth and Plant Kingdom. Start with the topic your child asks about most. The Complete Collection has all five, ships free and includes the gift bag.

What are the Field Lab sets?

Eight-book chemistry and physics sets for the same age range. 100,000 Whys asks the questions; the Field Lab explains the science underneath the answers, one topic per book.

Are the books in English?

Yes. All five volumes and both Field Lab sets are printed in English.

Ordering

How long does shipping take?

Orders leave within 1–2 business days. United States 7–15 business days, Australia and New Zealand 9–19, Singapore 5–12. Every order is tracked.

Is shipping free?

Yes on any order of two books or more. Single-book orders pay a flat rate shown at checkout.

Can I add a gift note?

Yes. Add the ready-to-gift bag on the product page and write your message in the cart note. We print it on a card inside the parcel, and no prices appear on the packing slip.
